Hong Kong-born and raised, although now based in Athens, architect, designer, artist and teacher Lo Chi Wing’s vision for Hong Kong design is interpreted and embodied by the charitable organization Crafts on Peel. It is in a historic building near a design, antique and arts district in the heart of Hong Kong and revives and promotes traditional craftsmanship in the contemporary world. To Lo, the sensitive design of the gallery represents the spirit of our generation, which cares less about the superficial and extravagant and is unwilling to be bound by conventional, gratuitous materialism. Lo proclaims that there "I feel my Hong Kong."
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lo received his Master Degree in Architecture from Harvard University with the best thesis prize in 1988. He now lives in Athens. Lo’s works encompass architecture, sculpture, and interior and furniture design. His prodigious output has long been recognised in and beyond sophisticated contemporary Italian design for its thought, grace and precision.
